A brief glance at history is enough to make us realize that Russia has embarked on a mission of expansionism which began several centuries ago. In fact, Russia today is the largest country on earth. Although the Soviet republics it once controlled are gone, yet this great nation remains a dominant country which cannot be taken lightly.
Regardless of its recent economic collapse, its polluted air and water that has caused problems to the health of its natives, and its cosmopolitan structure that instigates civil strifes, Russia is destined to become the strongest leading nation in the twenty first century.
Ironically, Russia has turned itself to be the world's greatest headache of the twentieth century. Its communist rulers initialed their seventy reign of terror with the massacre of the holy family of Czar Nicholas II and Empress Alexandra along with their five beautiful children. This was followed by the torture and death of millions of natives many of whom were intellectuals as well as noble people who were highly renowned for their virtue. Every trace of the supernatural disappeared in a country that was so deeply nurtured in Christianity because of Lenin's belief that religion was the opium of the people. Those that managed to survive the iron fist of communism were so heavily controlled that every sense of initiative was forced to vanish. The safest way for the people to survive was to live like zombies one day at a time.... planning nothing, saying nothing, and doing the bare minimum for purpose of making a Iivelihood .
In the United States, articles are written periodically about how dangerous Russia still is for the entire world. Many still advocate further military build-up to make sure Russia will not dominate the world in the future. And there is still felt total distrust of the Russians who are still identified with communism in the world at large. Russia's Global Mission
In spite of all this, Russia will still emerge as the strongest leading nation in the twenty first century. Preparations for this eventuality started in the early part of the twentieth century with the communist take over. The enormous suffering the Russians went through for almost a century helped purify their soul which now shines in beauty and splendor. The constant deprivation of the necessities of life instilled in Russians the urge for a genuine simplistic life. And the absence of luxurious things from the people's daily life developed a natural detachment to anything pompous and needless. In other words, the Russian soul has been prepared to turn the world around for the better.
This mission of the Russian people is highly honorable but greatly difficult. It is honorable because it is meant to lead people to God, thus enabling them to secure happiness which everybody would love to have more than anything else. It is difficult because of the natural feeling of skepticism generally felt around the world relative to anything the Russians do. This is due to the fact that in the world at large the Russians have been identified with communism, which was considered as evil and vicious, for a very long time. But here we are dealing with the spiritual and the supernatural. We are dealing with an item where we may rightly say that digit's Dei est hick -- the finger of God is here.
We know from history that God's ways of doing things are different from ours. He selected Paul of Tarsus to be one of his greatest apostles..... a man who dedicated his life to the massacre of Christians! He selected Augustine of Carthage to become the Archbishop of Milan in northern Italy and a Father of the Church.... a man who was skeptic by nature who dedicated his life to the pleasures of the world! He selected David from whose lineage the promised Messiah was designated to be born..... a man that delighted himself in worldly pleasures and marital unfaithfulness! He selected the Israelites as His chosen people..... a nation that killed the prophets that God sent them to guide them to heaven!
These are all mysteries. So why should it be surprising for the world to have God select Russia to lead the world to Him during the twenty first century? Russia!..... the nation that has officially declared itself atheist? ........ the nation that has violated human rights periodically for such a long time? .... the nation that has polluted badly the only planet we have with unlimited amount of toxic wastes that destroyed numerous species, poisoned our water and land where we grow our crops, and ruined the air we breathe? Emergence of the New Holy Russia
In spite of anything to the contrary, God made his choice which is irrevocable. As the old bad Russia under the patronage of Lenin is dying out slowly but surely, the new holy Russia under the guidance of the Blessed Virgin Mary is emerging from the horizon. In several of her recent apparitions in Medjugorje and elsewhere, the Virgin Mary stated with regret that the west is moving away from God while the east is moving toward God. The west, guided by the United States, is becoming increasingly indifferent, apathetic, and atheistic for all practical purposes. The east, influenced by the new holy Russia, is becoming increasingly religious, fervent, and theistic at a faster speed than the human mind can imagine. The Blessed Virgin Mary has set her eyes on the new holy Russia. She loves the people of Russia dearly because they are simple, kind hearted, spiritual minded, and respectable. They converse with her, on a daily basis and in a heart to heart way, perhaps much more than people of any other nation on earth.
At present, Russia is officially going through a period of rapid transition..... from dictatorship to democracy, from indoctrination of communist ideology to education which provides different philosophies, from apathy toward religion to enthusiasm toward anything that is religious, from public fear to public trust, to mention but a few. All these demonstrate that the creation of the new holy Russia is now a tangible reality even though at this time it is in its first stages of infancy. Like Jesus in Nazareth, Russia is growing daily in religious strength and supernatural wisdom. These two elements are bound to make Russia emerge as the strongest leading nation in the twenty first century.
Any country that sets out to dominate the world through materialistic means, such as the military, is doomed to failure. A six thousand years or recorded history has demonstrated that in the most clear and persuasive way possible. Russia has learned the lesson the hard way which explains why Pushkin once said that there is no other nation on earth that has suffered as much as the Russians. The twenty first century is not only a new certify but also a new millennium.
The new holy Russia has been entrusted by God with the mission to teach the world for the next millennium a great lesson which is the following. The greatest nation on earth that is capable of guiding other nations to find their rightful place in our earthly society is the nation that is fully immersed in spirituality, a nation that does not hesitate to recognize God as its Supreme Guide, a nation that recognizes the Blessed Virgin Mary as the mother of all people and the queen of all nations.
Just as Japan in the twentieth century gave a lesson to the world that power lies with economy and not with the military, Russia in the twenty first century will give a lesson to the world that the strength of a nation lies with its spirituality and not with its sophisticated weapons of destruction. Viewing Things as God Sees Them
If, in view of what has been stated, we should still feel somewhat skeptic we need to explore why. Maybe we need to pray the Holy Spirit to give us the necessary light and wisdom to see things in true perspective. Some may have reservations because they believe the members of the present Russian government are still at heart communists some of whom want to bring hack communism .
Well, let us keep in mind here that the present members of the Russian government are not going to be there for ever. As they grow older they retire or die. Their place will be taken in the future by our present children who today are attending school at every level of academic endeavor. Our children of today are the children of the new holy Russia that invites God's spirit to literally penetrate the vein of the entire nation. They are the beloved children of the Blessed Virgin Mary with whom they communicate constantly.
If anyone in the world wants to learn about what Russia looks like today, one needs to go to Russia and live for a while with the Russian people. One needs also to work for a while in Russia to experience what it means to live a simplistic life on hardly any financial means at all. One needs to witness how the spiritual element in Russia energizes the entire nation and makes it move forward to do great things that are edifying to the rest of the world. One needs to participate in religious functions where God's presence is felt very vividly. Perhaps it would be a wonderful experience for one to participate in the liturgy of the Mother of God Church which lasts for some eight to ten consecutive hours.
All this will enable one to realize and to understand why God has chosen Russia to become strongest leading nation during the twenty first century. The world is beginning to deal with the Russians of the new holy Russia which may be viewed as God's chosen new Jerusalem of the third millennium. << back
